This keel configuration allows the boats to sit on a mud berth or in tidal harbours and estuaries where the moorings have reduced depth. This keel configuration designed by Hunter Legend has been proven to perform as well as the standard fin keel models.
LEGEND QUALITY & SUPERIORITY

There are many reasons to choose a Marlow Legend Yacht; this page details just some of our unique features that stand Legend Yachts out from the competition.
The B&R (Belgstrom & Ridder) rig has numerous benefits and was developed for use on performance 'round the world' race boats. The mast with swept back spreaders allows for a broad 'tripod' base creating an immensely strong rig with greatly reduced stress on the hull. The need for a backstay is eliminated allowing a longer boom and bigger more efficient mainsail. This in turn makes for effortless sailing with the mainsail generating the majority of the sail power.
Designed to eliminate the possibility of injury from the boom or mainsheet and to provide efficient control of the mainsail via a very short mainsheet. In addition they enhance safety further by providing a strong grab handle and anchor points for all of the crew. Furthermore they act as a superb support for all over cockpit enclosures, canopies and biminis.
Spacious cabins, large galleys and great headroom make Legend Yachts perfect for comfortable long distance cruising and for extended family getaways. Real Corian worktops, solid hand-finished wordwork trim and edging and an array of other quality materials and features stand them out from the competition.
Socialable cockpit layouts with boarding transoms and swim ladders provide a family friendly layout. With the additional benefits of the Stainless Arch as described above, Legend Yachts are possibly the safest yachts on the market.
All of the Legend range incorporate the Marlow Hunter Kevlar & Blister resistant hull construction methods. See video at the bottom of the page.
Nida Core (strong waterproof plastic honeycomb) replaces the use of wood in the hull and deck
Superior 'anti blistering' resin and gelcoat
Easy to Sail
Legend Yachts have numerous features that make them easy to sail short-handed; the majority of the sail power is generated by the mainsail which can be controlled at the helm with the mainsheet traveller positioned up on the A frame. A smaller genoa is easier to manage.
